“…And when he lived in Oshawa my mom and I used to go to his annual Christmas` party every year, he put on the best party ever!! I looked forward to going all year! ❤️” ~Milena Deleo
Miguel loved to party. He enjoyed nothing more than inviting people over to the Grand Salon and sharing his good fortune by mounting the most spectacular parties at Christmas. His grandest Christmas party, covered by the local Oshawa paper, featured catered food by the best caterers in town, a 100-bottle wine bar (among other drinks), a chamber orchestra on one floor, and the special appearance of no less than his favorite singer of all time, the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll, Elvis Presley, impersonated by the great John Cigan. This lavish party, held shortly after his recognition by the Oshawa Chamber of Commerce, is still remembered by many as the party of the year–possibly the party of the decade!
Here are a few photos of Miguel’s v.i.p. guests at his biggest bash (ca. 2003)
