The last Salon Miguel in Ontario was also in Oshawa, also on Simcoe North, the same road Miguel’s Grand Salon was located on, but in a different location. Miguel filled the salon with his signature cutting stations, his multitude of framed paintings, clippings, certificates, and other mementos. As with all iterations of Salon Miguel, the second Simcoe salon was lavishly decorated from floor to ceiling with plush furniture, ornate chandeliers, rich draperies, crystals, and fresh flowers. Sadly, this Salon Miguel did not experience the same popularity the first two did and Miguel decided to pack his bags and move away from Ontario to Prince Edward Island, Canada’s tiny province in the Atlantic Maritimes. where he could start fresh.
